Terms of Use

By creating an account or using Starting Strong, you agree to these terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the program.

You must be 18 years of age or older to use Starting Strong. Give accurate information, keep your password private, and let us know if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Starting Strong is an educational premarital relationship program. It is not psychotherapy, counseling, mental-health treatment, crisis care, medical care, legal advice or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for professional help when that help is needed. We can't promise any particular outcome for your relationship.

If you or someone else is in danger, or you are experiencing a crisis or abuse, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional right away.

Starting Strong is designed for two partners, each with their own account. Some parts only open once both of you have done your part.

• Private responses stay private to you. Answers you choose to share, or that are marked to be revealed, are shown to your partner.
• You are responsible for what you choose to share with your partner.
• Use only your own account. Don't sign in as, or try to access, anyone else's account or private responses.

Some features, such as optional follow-up questions during Reveals, Listen and voice dictation, use AI. AI-generated content can be imperfect, incomplete or not fit your situation. It is offered to support reflection and conversation, not as professional advice. Use your own judgment.

The program's lessons, questions, activities, names and design belong to Starting Strong and its presenter, Empowered Transitions Counseling. You may use them for your own relationship. Please don't copy, resell or redistribute them. Your own responses remain yours.

Please don't:

• use Starting Strong to harass, threaten or harm anyone;
• try to break, overload or get around the program's security or access rules;
• use the program for anything unlawful.

Starting Strong is in beta. Features may change, be paused or occasionally be unavailable, and some content may be updated as we improve the program.

The program is provided as it is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for decisions you make based on the program or for losses arising from your use of it.

You can stop using Starting Strong at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk.

We may update these terms as the program changes. We will update the date above and let you know in the app or by email if a change is significant.
